Do you listen to any inspirational speakers? Follow any motivational people on Facebook or Instagram?
My feeds are full of positive quotes and posts and I watch a few inspiring videos a week.
A motivational speaker or inspirational speaker is a speaker who makes speeches intended to motivate or inspire an audience. There are a lot of good motivational speakers around the world, but there are a few that at the moment are some of my favourites. The ones that are really passionate and intense when they speak, those that speak from the heart and make you want to work hard for what you have and want to get.
Michelle Mone Baroness
I’ve been lucky enough to watch and meet Michelle in person, recently at the Introbiz Expo in Cardiff.
Here is what her website says ‘One of the United Kingdom’s most decorated Entrepreneurs, Michelle is a shining example of how flair & true grit can lead to global success.
Highly respected for her no-nonsense approach, over her 20-year career she has gone from humble bra-designer to global entrepreneur, mother-of-three and one of the world’s most in-demand public speakers.
Inspirational in every sense, her story is truly compelling and her journey to the top is one-of-a-kind. ‘
Michelle is the founder of Ultimo, which she started from scratch and has now sold to global lingerie giants MAS Holdings – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of intimates, with a $1.4 billion turnover and 63,000 employees.
I truly enjoyed listening to Michelle. She is female. She is a mum. And she wanted to be successful. She is fiercely passionate about getting out there and doing whatever it takes to make your business work. And she did just that! I thoroughly relished listening to her story.

I wasn’t expecting to watch Jermaine, last week at the same event I watched Michelle. He was another speaker that came on whilst I was there, but I was immediately captured by his abundant energy. He pushed the boundaries and pulled people out of their comfort zones. I’m not a huge fan of being pushed out of my comfort zone, along with most of the people there I would imagine, yet Jermaine managed to get all of us stood up, dancing, singing and shouting out along with him!
The talk came from a very personal place and was utterly inspiring and motivational. If you haven’t come across Jermaine, take a look at his website here http://jermaine-harris.com/
About Jermaine from his website
It took a major car accident – and then one year later nearly having his leg amputated – to turn Jermaine Harris’ life around.
Prior to this, Jermaine had been living a self-destructive lifestyle of excessive drinking, gambling and womanizing. At times, he drank as many as 24 bottles of wine and vodka per week, was in nightclubs 6 nights of the week, and was £30,000+ in debt.
When firemen cut him from the wreckage of a car, it shook him up momentarily as he thought he’d never walk again. But it was a football accident a year later – when he was told, “You may have to lose your leg” – that finally convinced him to change his life.
Since then, Jermaine, who has a Sports Psychology BSc (Hons) and MSc (Dist), has read over 380 self-help books in the space of 4 years and left behind his destructive lifestyle. In this time; Jermaine got out of debt, lost a stone of Body Fat, put on 10 Pounds of Muscle, cured himself of asthma, ran a Half Marathon and the London Marathon, started a Business, wrote a book, became an award winning speaker, met the woman of his dreams and is now a father.
I haven’t seen Gary in person, just watch a lot of his videos. And I think he’s amazing! If you haven’t watched him speak, then please do take the time to go and watch a video of his (there are plenty), or read one of his books. He believes in hard work and telling you like it is. He swears, is loud, can be obnoxious and gets very passionate when he talks. This guy isn’t for everyone, but I personally feel uplifted, ready to work, inspired and motivated whenever I watch him.
From his website- Not afraid to tell it like he sees it, Gary Vaynerchuk is an entertaining, thought-provoking business practitioner rooted in the notion of marketing in the year we live in and betting on one’s strengths to ensure a path to success and happiness. Gary will leave you entertained, motivated, and begging for more.
Gary Vaynerchuk builds businesses. Fresh out of college he took his family wine business and grew it from a $3M to a $60M business in just five years. Now he runs VaynerMedia, one of the world’s hottest digital agencies. Along the way he became a prolific angel investor and venture capitalist, investing in companies like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Uber, and Birchbox before eventually co-founding VaynerRSE, a $25M investment fund.
There are plenty more inspirational people around the globe, I follow loads of Instagram pages and read as many books as I can including the fantastic Jack Canfields- The Success Principles- How to get from where you are to where you want to be. http://jackcanfield.com
